Elizabeth Allen serves as the Executive Director of Personnel for the Office of Information Technology (OIT). Ms. Allen began her career with the State of Alabama in 1991 and has served as Personnel Director for numerous agencies including the Alabama Board of Pardons and Paroles, the Alabama State Department of Education, and the Alabama Department of Finance. She began serving in her role as Personnel Director for OIT in November of 2016.

As Personnel Director, Ms. Allen provides advice and recommendations to management on personnel matters, interprets employment laws and State Personnel Board rules, coordinates the selection process for new hires and promotions, oversees the administration of performance appraisals and the discipline process, develops policies and procedures, investigates grievances and disputes, provides training, represents OIT before the State Personnel Board, and acts as a liaison between the agency and the State Personnel Board.
