The State of Alabama Office of Information Technology (OIT) recently partnered with Government Technology, a division of media and research company e.Republic, to plan and host the 2022 Alabama Digital Government Summit. The last time this event took place was in 2019, prior to the global Covid-19 pandemic. The return of this year’s Summit on October 19, 2022, was met with enthusiasm and excitement as approximately 300 conference attendees, speakers, sponsors, and vendors participated in the conference.

An advisory board – comprised of state and local government leaders in the field of information technology (IT) – was formed earlier in the summer to help craft an event agenda that would be relevant and informative for those in attendance. This group shared their perspectives related to the topics and issues they felt needed to be presented at the 2022 Summit. When the day of the conference arrived, government sector IT professionals from all across the state were able to take advantage of inspirational keynotes, leadership discussions, networking breaks, and timely topics discussed in numerous breakout sessions to help advance the goals of their organizations and their own career paths.

The 2022 Alabama Digital Government Summit was a great success and facilitated much collaboration and idea sharing among everyone in attendance. OIT is proud to offer opportunities such as this Summit to provide access to IT industry leaders and insiders, promote best practices, and network with one another.
