Steve Walker serves the Office of Information Technology (OIT) as the State of Alabama’s Chief Information Security Officer. Prior to joining OIT, Mr. Walker led several teams across Fortune 500 companies in areas including offensive security, global incident response, and counter-threat programs.

As a long-time consultant, Mr. Walker has built several commercial red team practices and enjoys working with clients to mature cybersecurity programs. Mr. Walker began his career with the United States Government in cyber weapon analysis and network security engineering. He has a degree in Computer Science and maintains several industry certifications including the CISSP, OSCE, OSCP, CEH, and CCNA certifications.
